Note: Please understand that this website is not affiliated with the Chanel company in any way, it is only a reference page for collectors and those who have enjoyed the Chanel fragrances.
The goal of this website is to show the present owners of the Chanel company how much we miss the discontinued classics and hopefully, if they see that there is enough interest and demand, they will bring back the perfume!
Please leave a comment below (for example: of why you liked the perfume, describe the scent, time period or age you wore it, who gave it to you or what occasion, any specific memories), who knows, perhaps someone from the company might see it.
Is this also fake Chanel bottle?

I'm wondering as I've never seen Chanel perfume name written on the bottle and box in English and not in French.
Thank you
Hi Tamara, the Bois des Isles (Woods of the Isles) bottle is genuine. Chanel has a factory in the United States and the perfume essences are imported from Chanel's factory in France and the fragrance is then compounded and bottled here in the United States at their factory. These fragrances are meant to be sold in the USA, and this is why the English translation is under the perfume name. You may also see this occurrence with Chanel's Cuir de Russie fragrances as it will say Russia Leather. This is why the back of the bottle is marked Chanel, Inc. New York. The bottle shown in your link is a vintage bottle from the 1940s-1960s.
